Raising Responsible Citizens Education Foundation (RRCEF) is proud to announce that it has established a strategic partnership with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) through the Ignite Partnership through the program’s work force development platform.
The Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) and The Ignite Partnership Program
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) pioneered the Ignite Partnership program with the objective of forging productive collaborations between the school district and various organizations whose mission is to enhance every student’s educational experience. The program aims to provide innovations beyond traditional avenues in leading the way for students to excel in school and engage in the community.
The Ignite Partnership program provides eight platforms for student-community participation.
Mentoring Partnership
The Mentoring Partnership program provides a platform where FCPS students can connect with mentors from the business and community sectors. Students get to spend time with mentors whose goal is to inspire and lead students in cultivating their strengths and capabilities. This program seeks to empower the next generations of businesspeople and community leaders.
Tutoring partnerships
Through the Tutoring Partnership program, business and community group partners would provide academic support to students of schools under the FCPS through tutoring. Tutors would be trained by classroom teachers for a more effective realization of the program. Through this program, students gain better traction academically.
Needs-based donation partnerships
This partnership program provides a way for partners to support FCPS students by providing food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and school supplies. Partners also commit to providing volunteers or financial support.
Workforce Development Partnerships (including STEM and STEAM)
FCPS supports students in learning experiences to equip them for 21st-century careers in different fields such as cyber, journalism, entrepreneurship, skilled trades, and other fields that are in high demand in STEM and STEAM.
Arts Partnership
The Arts Partnership program supports the enhancement of opportunities in the Arts. It provides students with opportunities to convey expressions of thoughts and emotions. Students are provided many avenues to pursue their passion and maximize their talents through partners who commit to support financially or by volunteering.
Get2Green (Environmental) Partnerships
Get2Green (Environmental) Partnerships provides environmental education to schools with the aim of becoming more sustainable with a focus on energy conservation, waste reduction, healthy living, and habitat restoration. Partners in this program support the by providing volunteers, resources, and expertise.
Health and Wellness
The health and wellness partnership program allows partners to support the health and wellness of students, which contributes to their academic performance. Through this program, student engagement is achieved through the reduction of absenteeism, teachers and school leaders improve productivity and morale, and community engagement becomes more prevalent.
Financial Gifts – Educate Fairfax
This program allows partners and other people to donate to the FCPS. Monetary gifts received through this program would be used to support students and teachers in the areas of workforce development, classroom innovation, and student success.
RRCEF’s Mission Amplified through Ignite Partnership
The commitment to nurture children’s personal, social and environmental responsibilities through service based learning is at the heart of RRCEF’s mission.
Through the FCPS Ignite Partnership Program, RRCEF would be able to amplify its impact by availing its programs to more schools within FCPS.
